Every year we get to see the PGA of Canada rankings come in with the best courses in Canada. The list is a bucket list of golf courses that you’d love to play over the course of your lifetime, but unlike many of the unreachable bucket list courses in the USA, most of these are a “backyard” course to many Canadians. That’s right, our top courses are accessible!

We launched Chasing Par in our own backyard and wanted to point out the BC golf courses that made the Top 100 in 2020.

The list denotes Private Golf Courses in one category and Public, Semi-Private, and Resort Courses in a second category. Both categories have 50 spots voted on by Canadian PGA members.

Getting to know the Top Courses in BC

The list is impressive, with 22 golf courses from BC making the list. If you’re looking for a golf getaway, there isn’t a bad area to choose from! However, if you’re looking to check off the most Top 100 courses on one trip, Vancouver is the place to be with the courses from the North Shore (West Vancouver and North Vancouver) to Surrey all being within reasonable driving distance. This keeps you close to Morgan Creek Golf Course, Northview and all of the top private courses (if you can get on).

For a three-day, three-round itinerary, Whistler is a fantastic option with Nicklaus North, Fairmont Whistler, Whistler Golf Club and Big Sky all being spectacular courses that made this list.
