About the Course: The Royal York Golf Club is located in Armstrong, BC which is situated between the sunny, rolling Okanagan Valley and the cooler, forested Shuswap Valley. Described as “unique and deceivingly difficult”, the course is a public, full length 3200 yd. par 35, nine hole course with power cart and club rentals.
Our stunning new Clubhouse, is now open for the season with seating for approximately 100 people. The all open beam design with a large covered patio boasts a fantastic view of the course. Armstrong boasts the famous Interior Provincial Exhibition and Stampede, which runs for five days during the September long weekend each year.
The area around Armstrong features many attractions as well as The Royal York, water sports in the summer and snow sports in the winter. We are just a few miles from Silver Star Mountain Ski Resort and Hunters Range snowmobile trails. Boating, great fishing, and hiking trails are all close at hand.

Possessing a little something for everyone, Royal York is an extremely varied course with a good mix of challenges. It is described by some as “deceivingly difficult”, and the course has a reputation of being able to adapt to the individual play level of almost any golfer.
Novice and intermediate players should have few problems at Royal York, as long as they play within their abilities.
However, because the course has many possible short cuts to the green, better golfers may be enticed into taking chances in many places, with the appropriate rewards and/or punishments for those who take up the challenge.
One hole capable of always demanding a golfer’s best is Royal York’s long 6th. This 518 yard par five has a double dogleg and presents no direct or easy path to the green. The green itself is protected by a bunker to the front left and can be tricky to putt on due to its undulating surface.
It was announced that the Royal York will be closing after the 2018 season
